Once-daily use for BPH and/or ED: Use with caution in patients with mild or moderate hepatic impairment.
Treatments for PAH: Look at a reduced initial dosage of 20 mg once daily in patients with mild or moderate hepatic cirrhosis (Child-Pugh class A or B).
Use not advised in a different patient with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class C).(See Hepatic Impairment under Cautions.)
Renal Impairment
As-needed use for ED: For patients with Cl
cr 30-50 mL/minute, reduce initial dosage to mg administered no more frequently than once daily; maximum dosage 10 mg forget about frequently than once every 2 days. For patients with Cl
cr<30 mL/minute or those undergoing hemodialysis, maximum dosage 5 mg you can forget frequently than once every 72 hours.
Once-daily use for ED: Dosage adjustments not needed in patients with Cl
cr ≥30 mL/minute. Use not suggested in patients with Cl
cr <30 mL/minute or those on hemodialysis.
Once-daily use for BPH with or without ED: For Cl
cr 30-50 mL/minute, initial dosage of two.5 mg once daily recommended; may increase to 5 mg once daily depending on patient response and tolerance. Use not advised in patients with Cl
cr <30 mL/minute or those on hemodialysis.
Management of PAH: Reduce initial dosage to twenty mg once daily in patients with mild (Cl
cr 51-80 mL/minute) or moderate (Cl
cr 31-50 mL/minute) renal impairment; may increase to 40 mg once daily based upon patient response and tolerance. Avoid use in severe renal impairment (Cl
cr <30 mL/minute and others on hemodialysis).
Geriatric Patients
No dosage adjustments necessary based solely on age.
