In line with public at Cornell University, the venom in the deadly brown spider might possibly used therapeutically in treating impotence issues.  Says the London Telegraph: “A trove of potential drugs for conditions as diverse as impotence and arthritis could emerge from the study of venom originating from a potentially deadly spider.”

Of course this possibility should be intrguing, it’s essential to keep in mind that a “spider venom” drug won’t be helping patients anytime soon.  A really new drug would take 10-25 years to develop and bring to market even under perfect regulatory conditions.
